Autoplay and Looping for videos: why is this not working?

When adding videos to your Adpiler campaigns, you have the option to enable autoplay and looping. However, it's important to understand that the functionality of these features can vary based on the browser being used.

Video Autoplay and Browser Compatibility: Autoplay allows a video to start playing as soon as a page is loaded. However, most browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, restrict autoplay to videos without sound. This limitation is designed to improve the user experience by preventing unexpected audio from playing automatically, which can be disruptive.

Video Looping: Looping causes a video to restart immediately after it finishes, providing a continuous viewing experience. This feature is generally supported across major browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, making it a reliable option for your campaigns.

Why Autoplay and Loop Might Not Work: Not all browsers implement autoplay and loop settings in the same way, especially when audio is involved. If your video includes sound, the autoplay feature may not function unless the user has interacted with the site, or the site meets the browser’s media engagement index (MEI) criteria. Furthermore, some users may have browser settings or extensions that block autoplay, which can also affect the playback of your video.
