How is security managed at Adpiler?

As a company that takes data security for you and your customers very seriously, we recognize that our security practices are important to you.

While we don’t like to expose too much detail around our practices (as it can empower the very people we are protecting ourselves against), we have provided some general information below to give you confidence in how we secure the data entrusted to us.

Data center security

Our web server and database server are running in a main data center managed by IXL Hosting, located in The Netherlands, and is fully redundant.
This data center is a Tier 3 data center, ISO 27001, NEN 7510, and ISO 9001 certified, and they manage physical security 24/7 with biometric scanners.
All the servers are running latest security updates and are patched immediately when a security patch is published.
All uploaded files from our users are stored at AWS Amazon S3, region EU (Frankfurt) eu-central-1. This is an external and replicable server.
Our system has a monitoring system allowing us to be aware of issues before those are noticed by our users.
The web server and database server have automated monitoring systems in place to detect and alert security anomalies and health of components.

Protection from data loss

All data is regularly backed up on a physical different location.
All your uploaded files are stored in Amazon S3, where Bucket Versioning is enabled. With this, we can easily recover from any application failure or other unintended loss of files.

Application level

All user passwords are hashed with the most secure algorithm.
All the features are designed around security and reliability.
We have strict control over resources access, where we validate and verify every call.
All actions are checked on role permissions and are not possible without proper authorization.
We use security audits to keep our security on the right level.
The entire Adpiler application is encrypted with TLS.

Security practices in our team

Our whole team implements strict security practices regarding how they access their accounts:
We use Two Factor Authentication on all third-party services Adpiler uses (where offered).
Our SSH keys are all password-protected.
Our computers are not storing any customer data.
